Build a downloader from its injected seams.

pub async fn download( &self, store_id: &str, root: &str, sink: &dyn Sink, ) -> Result<u64, DownloadError>

Pull the whole .dig module for (store_id, root), writing the verified blob into sink.

Returns the verified module byte length on success. See the module docs for the full flow + trust model.

§Errors
  • DownloadError::NotFound — no holders located, or no located holder ANSWERED getModuleInfo within the attempt budget. Nothing was proven false in either case, so no source is attributable and the failure is not recast as a gate Verify (SPEC §17.5a).
  • DownloadError::NoProviders — holders exhausted with chunks still missing.
  • DownloadError::Verify — the whole-blob module_hash or the chain-anchor gate failed (fail-closed; the sink is NOT finalized).
