Enum Error

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum Error { Io(Error), Parse(Box<ParseError>), Path(PathError), Source(SourceError), Profile(ProfileError), Target(TargetError), Var(VarError), Merge(MergeError), }
Expand description

Why a devset operation did not go through.

Each domain has its own error, so a caller matches as narrowly as it needs to: Error::Target(TargetError::Busy) is one lock, Error::Target every target failure.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Io(Error)

Filesystem or process I/O failed; the message names the path.

§

Parse(Box<ParseError>)

A file devset reads does not parse.

§

Path(PathError)

A string is not a RelPath.

§

Source(SourceError)

A source is misconfigured, or git failed on it.

§

Profile(ProfileError)

A profile, or the layers together, do not resolve.

§

Target(TargetError)

The target cannot be found, read or written.

§

Var(VarError)

A variable is unanswered, unknown, or breaks a template.

§

Merge(MergeError)

A merge cannot run, or its resolution cannot be installed.
