Expand description

All the ways a source operation can fail.

Variants§

§

Unavailable

The source’s SecretSource::is_available check returned something other than Available. Caller may retry against a fallback or surface the underlying status.

Fields

§name: String

Source name (matches SecretSource::name).

§reason: String

Human-readable detail — typically the Display of the underlying SourceStatus variant.

§

UnsupportedCapability

The router asked the source to do something its SecretSource::capabilities said it could not.

Fields

§name: String

Source name.

§capability: Capabilities

The capability that was missing.

§

BadReference

The reference string isn’t well-formed for this backend (e.g. malformed op:// URL, invalid Vault path).

Fields

§name: String

Source name.

§reference: String

The reference the source rejected.

§reason: String

Human-readable detail.

§

Upstream

The source itself errored (network failure, upstream returned 5xx, plugin subprocess crashed, …).

Fields

§name: String

Source name.

§message: String

Human-readable detail.

§

Locked

The source needs an unlock step before it can answer this operation. Typically maps to SourceStatus::Locked.

Fields

§name: String

Source name.

§

Io

I/O error talking to the source (mostly subprocess stdio / socket I/O for plugin-style sources).

Fields

§name: String

Source name.

§source: Error

Underlying I/O error.
