One addressable widget within a composite native backing (docs/tree.md, docs/tweaks.md), Qt’s name for the concept (QStyle::SubControl). A list’s or tree’s node handle is its scroller; Subcontrol::Content is the widget inside it. Backends resolve an unknown subcontrol to None, never to the host.

Host

The node’s own handle: what every tweak accessor reached before subcontrols existed.

Content

The content widget inside the scroller (NSOutlineView, NSTableView, …).

Header

The header view, where the widget has one. Day’s lists and trees ship headerless, so this answers None until a kind grows a header.
