PolicyScope

Enum PolicyScope

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum PolicyScope { FullSource, Observed, }
Expand description

What the requirements in a policy are statements about.

A profiler reads what it is given. Whether that supports a claim about the whole source depends on what is being claimed, so the policy says which question it asks rather than letting the evaluator guess.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

FullSource

The entire source. A requirement is evaluated only when the evidence covers it, or when the observed data already witnesses a violation that further scanning cannot retract.

§

Observed

Whatever the metric actually measured — the scanned rows, the retained quality sample, the profiled columns. Always evaluable, and says nothing about the rows that were not read.
