Expand description

Why a requirement was not evaluated.

Absence is never read as zero and never as a pass. Each variant names a different thing a caller may want to fix: a run that did not ask for the metric, a dimension with nothing to measure, a column that was not profiled, or a scan that does not reach as far as the requirement does.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

#[non_exhaustive]
QualityUnavailable

The report carries no quality assessment, for this recorded reason.

Fields

This variant is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enum variants could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive enum variants cannot be constructed in external crates and cannot be matched against.
§quality_status: String

The report’s quality_status state, verbatim.

§

NotAssessed

Quality was computed, but this dimension had nothing to assess — no numeric values, no dates, no confidently detected pattern — or it was withheld because the run profiled a subset of columns.

§

ColumnNotProfiled

The report holds no profile for the named column, and its column selection does not show the source lacks it: the run’s columns= selection left it out, or the report predates the record of its selection. On a check with no column, the run profiled a columns= selection, which may have left source columns out.

§

#[non_exhaustive]
EvidenceIncomplete

The requirement asks about the full source, the evidence does not reach that far, and nothing observed settles it regardless.

Fields

This variant is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enum variants could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive enum variants cannot be constructed in external crates and cannot be matched against.
§gap: EvidenceGap

The gap between the evidence and the requirement’s scope.

§

NotInBaseline

The baseline carries no value to measure a change from: it did not assess the metric, did not profile the column, or read no values for it.

§

SchemaChanged

The two reports profiled different column sets, and the requirement is about a dataset-level score, whose subject is the column set. The result’s baseline.schema names the columns that differ.

§

DimensionsChanged

The overall score averages a different set of assessed dimensions on each side, because a dimension was requested, or had something to assess, on one side only.

§

#[non_exhaustive]
DefinitionNotComparable

A measurement definition the requirement depends on is not recorded identically on both sides: one side predates the record, or the two differ. Either way the same data may measure differently.

Fields

This variant is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enum variants could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive enum variants cannot be constructed in external crates and cannot be matched against.
§definition: String

The metric_semantics key.

§

#[non_exhaustive]
SettingChanged

A setting that moves the score on unchanged data differs between the two reports.

Fields

This variant is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enum variants could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive enum variants cannot be constructed in external crates and cannot be matched against.
§setting: String

The configuration field that differs.

§

#[non_exhaustive]
SettingUnrecorded

A setting that moves the score on unchanged data is not recorded on at least one side, so it cannot be shown to be the same.

Fields

This variant is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enum variants could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive enum variants cannot be constructed in external crates and cannot be matched against.
§setting: String

The configuration field that is unrecorded.
