Which mode a rule is checked in. See Engine::check.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

Engine

The engine’s own mode, as Engine::compile would compile the rule.

Strict

Outside templating mode, as Engine::compile_strict would.

Template

In templating mode, as Engine::compile_template would (that method needs the templating feature; the check does not).
