Strategy for aligning row names across multiple pushed backends.
Variants§
Union
Keep every row from any backend; non-observing backends emit zero at that position. The default — strictly more permissive than intersection: it reduces to the same result when all files share their row set, and enables multi-modal load (e.g. peaks ∪ genes) when they don’t.
Intersect
Keep only rows present in every backend. Opt-in for callers that want strict single-modality semantics.
