Writer

Struct Writer

Source
pub struct Writer { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Sending half of a Duplex, sharing one deadline across writes and flushes.

Trait Implementations§

Source§

impl Debug for Writer

Source§

fn fmt(&self, f: &mut Formatter<'_>) -> Result

Formats the value using the given formatter. Read more
Source§

impl Drop for Writer

Source§

fn drop(&mut self)

Closes this writing direction, so the reader gets EOF once the buffer drains.

Source§

fn pin_drop(self: Pin<&mut Self>)

🔬This is a nightly-only experimental API. (pin_ergonomics)
Execute the destructor for this type, but different to Drop::drop, it requires self to be pinned. Read more
Source§

impl Write for Writer

Source§

fn write(&mut self, buf: &[u8]) -> Result<usize>

Appends as many bytes as fit, waiting for space until the write deadline.

An expired deadline fails before accepting any bytes, even with space free. An empty buf then returns zero, and a closed end fails with io::ErrorKind::BrokenPipe.

Source§

fn flush(&mut self) -> Result<()>

Checks the write deadline and that no output was lost, without waiting for the peer to read.

It fails with io::ErrorKind::BrokenPipe after local closure, or when the reader closed with output unread.

fn write_vectored(&mut self, bufs: &[IoSlice<'_>]) -> Result<usize, Error>

Like write, except that it writes from a slice of buffers. Read more
Source§

fn is_write_vectored(&self) -> bool

🔬This is a nightly-only experimental API. (can_vector)
Determines if this Writer has an efficient write_vectored implementation. Read more

fn write_all(&mut self, buf: &[u8]) -> Result<(), Error>

Attempts to write an entire buffer into this writer. Read more
Source§

fn write_all_vectored(&mut self, bufs: &mut [IoSlice<'_>]) -> Result<(), Error>

🔬This is a nightly-only experimental API. (write_all_vectored)
Attempts to write multiple buffers into this writer. Read more
1.0.0 · Source§

fn write_fmt(&mut self, args: Arguments<'_>) -> Result<(), Error>

Writes a formatted string into this writer, returning any error encountered. Read more
1.0.0 · Source§

fn by_ref(&mut self) -> &mut Self
where Self: Sized,

Creates a “by reference” adapter for this instance of Write. Read more
Source§

impl Write for Writer

Source§

fn clock(&self) -> Clock

Returns the clock this adapter measures its deadlines on, the real one by default. Read more
Source§

fn set_write_deadline(&mut self, deadline: Instant) -> Result<()>

Installs the deadline for subsequent writes and flushes until replaced. Read more
