pub enum PointerKind {
Mouse,
Touch,
Pen,
}Expand description
Physical kind of pointer that produced an event. Mirrors the DOM
PointerEvent.pointerType. Backends without a real signal pass
PointerKind::Mouse.
The runtime uses this to specialize behavior that does not transfer
across modalities — for example, Touch has no resting hover state
and gates PointerEnter/PointerLeave accordingly.
Variants§
Mouse
Mouse, trackpad, or any device that reports continuous hover.
Touch
Touchscreen. No hover state; contact starts with pointer_down.
Pen
Pen / stylus. Behaves like Mouse for hover, but backends may
surface pressure in Pointer::pressure.
