Crate curve_sampling
source ·Expand description
This module provide a collection of routines to perform adaptive sampling of curves as well as manipulating those samplings.
As of now, the following is available:
- uniform sampling of the graph of functions ℝ → ℝ
(see
Sampling::uniform
); - adaptive sampling of the graph functions ℝ → ℝ
(see
Sampling::fun
); - adaptive sampling of the image functions ℝ → ℝ²
(see
Sampling::param
).
Samplings can be saved as a list of coordinates x-y, one point per
line with blank lines to indicate that the path is interrupted,
with Sampling::write
. They can also be saved in a format
usable from the LaTeX package TikZ using
Sampling::latex
. This format allows to add arrows to the
curves to indicate their orientation.

“cuts” because of discontinuities or leaving the domain of the
(parametric) function describing the path.
