LeasePool

Struct LeasePool

Source
pub struct LeasePool<T>
where T: Default + Reclaim,
{ /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Pool of reusable values with single-cell items that are not cloneable.

Items stay in the pool while checked out; Self::acquire hands back a LeaseHandle pointing at one and flags it leased. Dropping the handle reclaims the value and frees the slot, so allocations are reused across acquires instead of allocating anew.

Implementations§

Source§

impl<T> LeasePool<T>
where T: Default + Reclaim,

Source

pub fn with_capacity(capacity: usize) -> LeasePool<T>

Pre-reserve room for capacity pooled items (if exceeded, the pool still grows on demand).

Source

pub fn acquire(&mut self) -> LeaseHandle<T>

Take an item, reusing a free pooled item when available.

fn into_any(self: Box<T>) -> Box<dyn Any>

Converts Box<dyn Trait> (where Trait: Downcast) to Box<dyn Any>, which can then be downcast into Box<dyn ConcreteType> where ConcreteType implements Trait.
Source§

fn into_any_rc(self: Rc<T>) -> Rc<dyn Any>

Converts Rc<Trait> (where Trait: Downcast) to Rc<Any>, which can then be further downcast into Rc<ConcreteType> where ConcreteType implements Trait.
Source§

fn as_any(&self) -> &(dyn Any + 'static)

Converts &Trait (where Trait: Downcast) to &Any. This is needed since Rust cannot generate &Any’s vtable from &Trait’s.
