#[non_exhaustive]pub enum Step {
Expand,
Contract,
Rewrite,
}Expand description
What a change costs, in docs/ROLLBACK.md §5’s vocabulary.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
Expand
Additive. The old build keeps working; a rollback stays free.
Contract
Removes something. Safe once nothing deployed reads it, and a rollback past the switch is gone afterwards.
Rewrite
Cannot be applied forward-only to rows that already exist.
