### Scope

- **Purpose**: Document recurring architectural decisions in `workspace_tools` so developers understand the design intent and can apply the same patterns elsewhere.
- **Responsibility**: Describe each architectural pattern — its problem context, chosen solution, applicability conditions, and trade-offs.
