Expand description

An error returned while signing or verifying an HTTP message signature.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

MissingComponent(String)

A covered component referenced a header field not present in the message.

§

UnsupportedComponent(String)

A component identifier is not supported by this crate.

§

InvalidComponentValue(String)

A component value contained a bare CR or LF, which would corrupt the signature base.

§

MissingRequiredComponent(String)

A component required by the verifier was not covered by the signature.

§

UnsupportedAlg

The signature’s alg parameter was present but not ed25519.

Fields

§found: String

The alg value that was found.

§

InvalidTimeWindow

The signature’s expires is before its created.

§

TooOld

The signature is older than the verifier’s max_age.

§

Parse(String)

The Signature-Input or Signature field value could not be parsed.

§

LabelMismatch

The Signature-Input and Signature used different labels, or the requested label was absent.

§

MalformedSignature

The signature byte sequence was not valid Base64 or not 64 bytes.

§

InvalidSignature

The signature did not verify against the supplied key.

§

Expired

The signature’s expires parameter is in the past.

§

CreatedInFuture

The signature’s created parameter is in the future.

§

MissingParameter(&'static str)

The WIMSE profile requires a signature parameter that is absent.

§

ForbiddenParameter(&'static str)

The WIMSE profile forbids a signature parameter that is present.

§

WrongTag

The signature’s tag is not the WIMSE workload-to-workload tag.

Fields

§found: String

The tag value that was found.

§

AudienceMismatch

The signature’s wimse-aud did not match the audience the verifier expected — the signature was minted for a different service.

§

RequestNonceMismatch

A signed response carried back a wimse-req-nonce that is not the nonce the client sent, so the response answers some other request.
