RequestOutcome

Enum RequestOutcome

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum RequestOutcome { Completed, StoppedByCallback, Cancelled, }
Expand description

How a successfully waited non-blocking request ended.

This is a Rust-side classification because the native ABI does not expose its cancellation flag. Callback panic/error takes precedence, followed by an explicit callback stop, an observed terminal callback, and cancellation.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Completed

Native generation delivered its terminal callback.

§

StoppedByCallback

The Rust callback returned StreamControl::Stop.

ABI v10 treats this as an explicit stop even for the terminal event.

§

Cancelled

Rust requested cancellation before completion was observable.
