# Code of conduct
This project is a working tool for working professionals. The expected behavior matches what you would expect in a competent engineering workplace.
## What we ask
- Discuss the code, not the contributor. Critique decisions, designs, and outputs; do not critique people.
- Assume the other person is acting in good faith until you have evidence otherwise.
- Stay on topic. Issues, PRs, and discussions are for the project; other forums exist for other conversations.
- If you disagree, say what would change your mind. "I am not convinced" without a path forward is noise.
## What we do not allow
- Personal attacks, slurs, or harassment, in any channel tied to the project.
- Threats, doxxing, or revealing private information without consent.
- Sustained off-topic argument after a maintainer has redirected the thread.
- Spam, low-effort posts, or AI-generated content that does not advance the conversation.
## How to report a problem
Email **mohamed@riven-labs.com**. Reports are read by Riven Labs maintainers and treated as confidential. Include:
- What happened, with links to the specific comments, PRs, or issues.
- What you would consider a reasonable outcome.
We acknowledge reports within 48 hours and reach a decision within seven days. Possible outcomes range from a private clarification to a permanent ban from the project's spaces.
## Scope
This document applies to every project space: the GitHub repository (issues, PRs, discussions if enabled, code reviews), any future official chat channels, and any conduct in adjacent venues that materially affects a contributor's ability to participate here.
## Authority
The project's maintainers (Riven Labs) interpret and enforce this document. Disagreements about enforcement decisions can be raised through the same reporting address.
