Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

Transport(String)

The request never reached the endpoint, or the connection dropped before a response arrived — DNS, connect, TLS, or read/write failure.

Status

The endpoint responded, but with a non-success HTTP status.

Truncated

The response was truncated (finish_reason == "length") even after every retry. Never treated as success — a truncated table or JSON body is silently wrong, not partially right.

RetriesExhausted

Every attempt failed (transport failure or truncation) up to max_retries.
