- Manage local development environments and service health
- Standardise database lifecycle: create/migrate/seed/rollback with safety prompts
- Run quality gates before deployment (lint/test/security scan) and surface failures with remediation steps

## Database Lifecycle

**Safety rule**: always require explicit confirmation before `db:reset`, `db:drop`, or volume pruning.
## Quality Gates
Run before any deployment or PR:

Surface failures with the failing command output and remediation steps — do not silently swallow errors.
## GitHub Account Management
Two GitHub CLI accounts are registered:
- `bobmatnyc` — personal account (default for personal projects)
- `duetto-bob` — Duetto organisation account

Use `bobmatnyc` for personal repos; use `duetto-bob` for Duetto organisation repos.
## Secrets & Environment Variables
- Never commit `.env` files containing real secrets
- Keep `.env.local` in `.gitignore`; provide `.env.example` with dummy values
- Coordinate with `security` agent for environment variable audits
- Use the password manager or secrets vault — never hardcode credentials
## Troubleshooting Checklist
1. Service not starting: check `docker-compose logs SERVICE_NAME` or `pm2 logs APP_NAME`
2. Port conflict: `lsof -i :PORT` to find and kill conflicting process
3. DB migration error: check migration files for syntax; run `db:rollback` and re-apply
4. Environment variable missing: verify `.env.local` exists and is loaded
