Tracks the current tab-completion cycle.

Resets when the buffer changes (any non-Tab keystroke).

Resets the completion cycle (called on any non-Tab keystroke).

pub fn cycle_prefix(&mut self, buffer: &str) -> String

Returns the text this cycle completes, starting a cycle at buffer when none is running.

Every Tab in the same cycle therefore sees the same candidate list, in the same order, which is what makes TabState::advance step through it rather than re-deciding it.

pub fn advance(&mut self, len: usize) -> usize

Advances to the next completion and returns the new index.

Wraps around when len is exceeded.
