Where the host runs a stage.

Inline stages run on the reading task: one synchronous call per chunk, no channel, no wakeup, and (see Ctx::pass_through) no copy. Detached buys concurrency with the reader at the cost of one copy and one task hop per chunk, so it pays off only for stages doing real work per byte: compression, encryption, parsing, etc.
