# Code of Conduct
Tessera uses a simple standard: be direct, generous, and professional.
## Expected Behavior
- Assume good intent while still being precise.
- Keep criticism about code, behavior, or design choices, not people.
- Welcome newcomers and explain context that may not be obvious.
- Respect boundaries when maintainers close an issue or decline a proposal.
## Unacceptable Behavior
- Harassment, threats, or personal attacks.
- Discriminatory language or conduct.
- Doxxing or sharing private information.
- Repeatedly derailing issues or pull requests after a maintainer asks you to stop.
## Enforcement
Maintainers may remove comments, close issues, block users, or report abuse when needed to keep the project healthy.
To report a concern, contact the maintainers through the repository security or moderation channels.
