# Instructions to Add Custom Release Workflow
## Steps:
1. Go to your GitHub repository
2. Click on `.github/workflows/` directory
3. Either:
- Create new file: `release-custom.yml`
- Or edit existing release workflow
4. Copy the content from `improved_release_workflow.yml` into it
5. Commit to main branch
## What this adds:
- **Custom version input** - enter any version you want
- **Major/Minor/Patch/Custom** options
- **Optional release notes** field
- **Better error handling** for edge cases
## How to use:
1. Go to Actions tab
2. Select the new workflow
3. Click "Run workflow"
4. Choose:
- Release type: `custom`
- Custom version: `1.16.1` (or any version)
- Release notes: (optional)
This gives you full control over versioning!
