Strategy

Enum Strategy

Source
pub enum Strategy {
    Head,
    Ends,
    Tail,
    Sections,
}
Expand description

Which end of a text survives a shortening.

Variants§

§

Head

Keep the front. Prose and tables read from the top.

§

Ends

Keep both ends and mark the gap. Code and diffs are read from the edges inward.

§

Tail

Keep the back. A log’s news is at the end.

§

Sections

Keep whole sections from the front, then the headings of the sections that did not fit. The reader loses bodies and keeps the map of what was written.
