# silicon-extend-cli

`extend`, the command a Silicon uses to find and use the devices a Carbon has paired with
[Silicon Extend](https://extend.teamofsilicons.com), and a Carbon uses to manage them.

Install it with Honeycomb (`honeycomb install extend`) or from crates.io:

Version 1.3 makes `extend act 'Click Save'` use Silicon's managed TypeSafe Jev key through your
existing Extend login. No model key is needed. Set `TYPESAFE_API_KEY` locally to use your own key
directly; a personal-key failure never switches to the managed key. `--dry-run --json` reports a
decision without executing it. Ordinary snapshot and ref commands work independently of Jev,
including when its API fails. See the
