Expand description

Errors that can occur during bit-level encoding/decoding.

Variants§

§

UnexpectedEof

Attempted to read past the end of the buffer.

Fields

§requested: usize

Number of bits requested.

§available: usize

Number of bits available.

§

WriteOverflow

Attempted to write more bits than the buffer can hold.

Fields

§attempted: usize

Number of bits attempted to write.

§available: usize

Number of bits available.

§

InvalidBitCount

Invalid bit count for the operation.

Fields

§bits: u8

The invalid bit count provided.

§max_bits: u8

Maximum allowed bits for this operation.

§

ValueOutOfRange

Value exceeds the range representable by the specified number of bits.

Fields

§value: u64

The value that was out of range.

§bits: u8

Number of bits available.

§

InvalidVarint

Invalid varint encoding (too many bytes or overflow).

§

MisalignedAccess

Attempted to read or write a byte-aligned value when not aligned.

Fields

§bit_position: usize

Current bit position.
