## A Note on Version History
**TL;DR**: I published 1.0.0 prematurely. This release (0.1.0) is the real starting point.
The 1.0.0 release on December 17, 2025 was a mistake. It contained working code, but:
- Performance claims were overstated (I said "211x faster" when the real story is "150x more consistent")
- Several features were incomplete or had bugs
- The crate wasn't ready for production use
Rather than try to hide this, I'm leaving the 1.0.0 entry below for transparency and yanking it from crates.io. If you're reading this after stumbling on the old version: sorry about that. The code below 0.1.0 is the real, tested, honest release.
