# Ruchy REPL Demonstration

## Starting the REPL

```bash
$ ./target/release/ruchy repl
# or just
$ ./target/release/ruchy  # REPL is the default command
```

## Features Working

### 1. AST Generation
The REPL can parse Ruchy expressions and display their Abstract Syntax Tree:

### 2. Rust Transpilation
The REPL can transpile Ruchy code to Rust:

### 3. Complex Expressions
The REPL handles complex control flow:

### 4. REPL Commands
All REPL commands are functional:
- `:help` - Display help
- `:quit` - Exit REPL
- `:ast <expr>` - Show AST
- `:rust <expr>` - Show Rust transpilation
- `:type <expr>` - Show type (placeholder for now)
- `:clear` - Clear session
- `:history` - Show history
- `:save <file>` - Save session
- `:load <file>` - Load session

## Current Limitations

1. **Expression Evaluation**: The `eval` function attempts to compile with `rustc` but needs adjustment for proper expression evaluation (expressions need to be wrapped with println! or assigned to variables)

2. **Type Inference**: Not yet implemented (shows placeholder message)

3. **Runtime Execution**: The REPL transpiles correctly but the execution wrapper needs refinement
