Variants

Stdout

Standard output, which is where -E writes when there is no -o.

File(String)

A path the user can see and named, or that we derived from the input name.

Temporary(String)

A file the link step consumes and nothing else ever sees. The name is a hint for -### output; the real path is chosen in a temporary directory at execution time.
