	  inventing a new metamethod, `__fmtDebug`. We pass along the "extended
	  form" attribute which is the equivalent of the "alternate mode" in Rust's
	  Debug trait since it's the author's opinion that treating it as a
	  verbosity flag is semantically accurate.
