rmycli --eval script.lua key1 key2 , arg1 arg2
rmycli --scan --pattern 'user:*' --count 100
rmycli --instance qa Use a saved connection
rmycli config --help Help for local configuration commands
Usage notes:
Put options before the command. Everything after the command is a Redis
argument, including words beginning with '-'. The comma in --eval separates
keys from script arguments. -r -1 repeats until interrupted; Ctrl-C exits.
Without a command, a terminal opens the editor; piped stdin runs one command
per line. --raw is automatic for redirected stdout; --no-raw forces readable
output. The live editor always escapes control bytes, even with --raw.
-h means host, not help. Use --help for this page and F1 for editor help.
REDISCLI_AUTH supplies a password; --pass/-a overrides it, --askpass wins.
REDIS_URL supplies a URI. --help and --version never load configuration.
Compatibility:
This is an interactive shell, not a replacement for redis-cli's administration
suite. Cluster management (--cluster), replication/RDB transfer, --pipe,
latency/statistics/key-analysis/benchmark modes, and the Lua debugger are
omitted. Use redis-cli for those modes.
The current transport does not expose address-family selection (-4/-6),
--sni overrides, or OpenSSL cipher-list options. TLS uses the connection
hostname for SNI and rustls cipher defaults. See README for compatibility
details. Unsupported switches are rejected, never silently ignored.
