Expand description

Hardware control event from a physical interface (knob, button, fader, etc.).

Variants§

§

Button

A physical button press or release.

Fields

§id: u32

Hardware control identifier.

§pressed: bool

true if the button is currently held down.

§

Knob

A physical knob (rotary encoder or potentiometer) event.

Fields

§id: u32

Hardware control identifier.

§value: f32

Raw value in hardware-native units.

§normalized: f32

Value mapped to the [0.0, 1.0] range.

§

Fader

A physical fader (linear slider) event.

Fields

§id: u32

Hardware control identifier.

§value: f32

Raw value in hardware-native units.

§normalized: f32

Value mapped to the [0.0, 1.0] range.

§

MidiControl

A MIDI control change message.

Fields

§channel: u8

MIDI channel (0-indexed).

§controller: u8

MIDI controller number.

§value: u8

Raw 7-bit MIDI value.

§normalized: f32

Value normalized to [0.0, 1.0].

§

MidiNote

A MIDI note-on or note-off message.

Fields

§channel: u8

MIDI channel (0-indexed).

§note: u8

MIDI note number.

§velocity: u8

MIDI velocity value (0-127).

§on: bool

true for note-on, false for note-off.

§

Osc

An OSC message event.

Fields

§address: String

OSC address path.

§args: Vec<f32>

OSC argument list as float values.

§

MidiClock

A MIDI clock tick event.

§

MidiTransport

A MIDI transport state change.

Fields

§kind: MidiTransportKind

The type of transport event (start, stop, or continue).

Implementations§

Source§

impl ControlEvent

Source

pub fn normalized_value(&self) -> Option<f32>

Returns the normalized value (0.0–1.0) of this event, if it carries one.

Source

pub fn id(&self) -> Option<u32>

Returns the hardware control ID attached to this event, if any.
