# retex-lua
Embedded Lua 5.3 and the LuaTeX Lua API for retex.
Implements the `tex`, `token`, `node`, `font`, `callback`, `texio`, `status`,
`lang`, `pdf`, `img`, `kpse` and other libraries described in the LuaTeX
reference manual, the callback mechanism, and a native luaotfload, checked
against the behaviour of the reference `luatex` binary.
This crate is a component of [retex](https://gitlab.com/severin-lemaignan/retex),
a TeX engine written in Rust that replaces `lualatex`. See the retex README for
the project as a whole. The API serves retex and may change between versions.
