retex-kpath

A native implementation of the parts of kpathsea that TeX engines use.

Reads texmf.cnf (found through TEXMFCNF), expands variables, braces and ~, honours environment variables and VAR.progname overrides, uses ls-R databases, searches // subdirectories and applies the file-format suffix rules, so that retex finds the same files as luatex and kpsewhich.

This crate is a component of retex, a TeX engine written in Rust that replaces lualatex. See the retex README for the project as a whole. The API serves retex and may change between versions.
