# retex-arith
TeX-exact fixed-point arithmetic.
TeX computes dimensions with integers in scaled points (2⁻¹⁶ pt). This crate
implements the routines of *TeX: The Program* (§99–§108) and e-TeX's
`\numexpr`/`\dimexpr` evaluation so that results, rounding and overflow
behaviour match TeX bit for bit.
This crate is a component of [retex](https://gitlab.com/severin-lemaignan/retex),
a TeX engine written in Rust that replaces `lualatex`. See the retex README for
the project as a whole. The API serves retex and may change between versions.
