retex-arith

TeX-exact fixed-point arithmetic.

TeX computes dimensions with integers in scaled points (2⁻¹⁶ pt). This crate implements the routines of TeX: The Program (§99–§108) and e-TeX's \numexpr/\dimexpr evaluation so that results, rounding and overflow behaviour match TeX bit for bit.

This crate is a component of retex, a TeX engine written in Rust that replaces lualatex. See the retex README for the project as a whole. The API serves retex and may change between versions.
