# MCP Daemon Module
Optional background daemon for persistent MCP server connections.
## Overview
This module provides two operation modes for MCP tool execution:
1. **Direct Mode** (default): Spawns temporary MCP clients on-demand
2. **Daemon Mode** (optional): Persistent background process with connection pooling

### As a User

## Performance
| Cold start | ~500ms | ~50ms | **10x faster** |

## Security
- **IPC**: Unix socket with 0600 permissions (user-only)
- **Process**: Isolated per-user daemon
- **Input**: JSON schema validation
- **Limits**: 1MB max message size, 60s timeout
## Troubleshooting
### Daemon won't start

### Adding New Features
1. **New IPC command**: Add to `IpcMessage` enum in `ipc_server.rs`
2. **New daemon command**: Add to CLI in `mcp_cli.rs`
3. **New health check**: Extend `HealthMonitor` in `health.rs`
