rdar

rdar installs the radar command, a fast local repository router written in Rust. This small, auditable launcher downloads a stripped GitHub release, verifies its SHA-256 checksum, caches it per native version and platform, then forwards arguments.

Launcher release 0.5.20 installs pinned radar 0.5.20 artifacts for the native targets that are published and checksummed on GitHub:

Native target Release asset Launcher status
linux-x86_64 radar-v0.5.20-linux-x86_64.tar.gz enabled
linux-aarch64 radar-v0.5.20-linux-aarch64.tar.gz enabled
macos-x86_64 radar-v0.5.20-macos-x86_64.tar.gz enabled
macos-aarch64 radar-v0.5.20-macos-aarch64.tar.gz enabled
windows-x86_64 radar-v0.5.20-windows-x86_64.zip enabled
windows-aarch64 radar-v0.5.20-windows-aarch64.zip enabled

Apple Silicon is the macos-aarch64 target. Windows ARM64 is windows-aarch64. The 0.5.20 compressed release archives are 3.55 to 3.88 MiB; the unpacked binaries are 26.34 to 27.61 MiB. Linux musl artifacts are statically linked and stripped; macOS artifacts are Mach-O DYLDLINK binaries and are not advertised as static.

cargo install --locked rdar

cd your-project

radar query "where is the auth boundary?" --source

Measured results

  • Live navigation input: 15,407 to 4,249 tokens, 72.4% lower.
  • Live reference cost: $0.1555 to $0.0564, 63.7% lower.
  • Accuracy: 20/21 to 21/21 in the locked live navigation matrix.
  • Retrieval: expected source anchor in the top three for 40/40 questions.
  • Generated 10,000-file query: 28.74 ms p95 with zero model calls.

Radar combines deterministic tree-sitter extraction, compact lexical fingerprints, exact-symbol routing, confidence-based abstention, bounded source-span verification, incremental content-addressed caches, and tiny committed MAP.md routers. Maps and caches are derived navigation data; source files remain authoritative.

Methods and installable release artifacts are published at radar.sanixdk.xyz and GitHub Releases.
