phprs 0.1.5

A PHP interpreter with build/package manager written in Rust
Documentation
# phprs Architecture

## Overview

phprs is a PHP interpreter implemented in Rust, **reimagined from the ground up** to leverage Rust's revolutionary memory safety, concurrency, and performance features. While maintaining PHP semantics, the architecture eliminates entire classes of vulnerabilities present in C-based implementations.

## Rust Architecture Advantages

### Memory Safety by Design
- **Ownership System**: Compile-time guarantees prevent memory leaks and use-after-free bugs
- **Borrow Checker**: Ensures references are always valid, eliminating dangling pointers
- **RAII (Resource Acquisition Is Initialization)**: Automatic cleanup when values go out of scope
- **No Manual Memory Management**: Zero malloc/free bugs

### Thread Safety by Design
- **Send + Sync Traits**: Type system enforces thread safety at compile time
- **Arc<RwLock<T>>**: Safe shared mutable state across threads
- **Atomic Operations**: Lock-free data structures for performance
- **No Data Races**: Impossible by design, not by convention

### Performance by Design
- **Zero-Cost Abstractions**: High-level code compiles to optimal machine code
- **Monomorphization**: Generic code specialized for each type
- **LLVM Backend**: World-class optimization infrastructure
- **Inline Everything**: Cross-crate inlining with LTO

## Execution Flow

```
PHP Code
Lexer (tokens)
Compiler (opcodes)
VM (execute_ex)
Output
```

## Type System

| PHP Type | Rust Representation |
|-----------|-------------------|
| Null | `PhpValue::Null` |
| Boolean | `PhpValue::Bool(bool)` |
| Integer | `PhpValue::Long(i64)` |
| Float | `PhpValue::Double(f64)` |
| String | `PhpValue::String(Box<PhpString>)` |
| Array | `PhpValue::Array(Box<PhpArray>)` |
| Object | `PhpValue::Object(Box<PhpObject>)` |
