#[non_exhaustive]pub enum TableStrategy {
Lines,
Text,
Both,
}Expand description
Which evidence may find a table: the lines the page drew, the alignment of its words, or both (#659).
Read by ExtractOptions::table_strategy. The builder finds its grids
from gutters and the learned proposers from words, while the lattice
reads the drawn grid and the rules refuse the cuts a table stands
across: TableStrategy::Lines keeps only the tables a drawn rule
crosses, TableStrategy::Text runs without the drawn grid, and the
default TableStrategy::Both is today’s combined detection.
Non-exhaustive: re-exported from the facade, so new strategies must not break a downstream match.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Lines
Only tables the page ruled: a grid no drawn rule crosses goes back to the paragraph merge, and the word-reading learned proposers sit out, so nothing puts it back.
Text
Only tables the words align into: the lattice proposer, which reads the drawn grid alone, sits out. The builder keeps its rules – they only refine grids its gutters already found, and a ruled table whose words align is still found.
Both
Today’s combined detection: every proposer runs and every grid the builder reads stands. The default.
