vector_ids = [f"vec_{i}" for i in range(1000)]
metadata = [{"category": i % 10} for i in range(1000)]

# Batch indexing
store.index_batch(vector_ids, vectors, metadata)

# Vector search
query_vector = np.random.rand(256).astype(np.float32)
results = store.vector_search(query_vector, limit=10)
```
### Analytics and Optimization
```python
# Vector analytics
analytics = oxirs_vec.VectorAnalytics()
analysis = analytics.analyze_vectors(vectors, labels)

print(f"Sparsity: {analysis['sparsity']:.3f}")
print(f"Intrinsic dimension: {analysis['intrinsic_dimension']}")

# Get optimization recommendations
recommendations = analytics.get_recommendations()
for rec in recommendations:
    print(f"{rec['type']}: {rec['description']}")
    print(f"Expected improvement: {rec['expected_improvement']:.1f}%")
```
# Register custom functions
sparql_search.register_function(
    "vec:semanticSimilarity",
    arity=3,
    description="Compute semantic similarity between resources"
)
# Execute SPARQL with vector extensions
query = """
SELECT ?resource ?similarity WHERE {
    ?resource vec:similar("machine learning", 5, 0.3) .
    BIND(vec:similarity(?resource, "http://example.org/ai") AS ?similarity)
}
ORDER BY DESC(?similarity)
"""
vectorizer = TfidfVectorizer(max_features=1000)
tfidf_vectors = vectorizer.fit_transform(newsgroups.data)
# Convert to dense format for OxiRS
dense_vectors = tfidf_vectors.toarray().astype(np.float32)
df = pd.DataFrame(results)
# Analyze results
print(df['score'].describe())
print(df.groupby('metadata.category')['score'].mean())
# Export results
df.to_csv('search_results.csv', index=False)
```

### Jupyter Notebook Visualization

```python
import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
for doc_id in store.get_vector_ids()[:100]:
    vector = store.get_vector(doc_id)
    if vector is not None:
        vector_data.append(vector)
vectors_array = np.array(vector_data)
# Dimensionality reduction
pca = PCA(n_components=2)
vectors_2d = pca.fit_transform(vectors_array)
- Use **IVF** for very large datasets with compression
- Use **LSH** for fast approximate search
### 2. **Performance Optimization**
- **Normalize vectors** before indexing for consistent similarity scores
- **Batch operations** when possible for better throughput
- **Optimize index** periodically for best search performance
- **Use GPU acceleration** for large datasets (>1M vectors)
### 3. **Memory Management**
- Monitor memory usage with `store.get_stats()`
- Use vector compression for memory-constrained environments
- Consider memory-mapped indices for very large datasets
- Implement cache warming for predictable query patterns
### 4. **Quality Assurance**
- Use analytics to monitor vector quality and distribution
- Implement A/B testing for embedding strategies
- Monitor search relevance and user feedback
- Regular benchmarking against ground truth datasets
