# Error Module Creation Results

## Summary

Successfully created the Oxios kernel error module at `/Volumes/MERCURY/PROJECTS/oxios/crates/oxios-kernel/src/error.rs`.

## Files Created/Modified

### 1. `/Volumes/MERCURY/PROJECTS/oxios/crates/oxios-kernel/src/error.rs` (NEW)

Created a typed error module using `thiserror` for the kernel's public API with:

- **`KernelError` enum**: 12 variants covering agent, container, program, config, seed, session, state store, and internal errors
- **`HttpStatus` enum**: Framework-agnostic HTTP status codes (200, 400, 403, 404, 409, 500, 503)
- **`KernelResult<T>` type alias**: Convenience alias for `Result<T, KernelError>`
- **`http_status()` method**: Maps each error variant to the appropriate HTTP status

Key design decisions:
- **No axum dependency**: Used a custom `HttpStatus` enum instead of `axum::http::StatusCode` to keep the kernel web-framework-agnostic
- **From<HttpStatus> for u16**: Implemented conversion so consumers can easily get `u16` status codes
- **Uses crate::types::AgentId**: Follows the existing pattern for referencing internal types

### 2. `/Volumes/MERCURY/PROJECTS/oxios/crates/oxios-kernel/src/lib.rs` (MODIFIED)

Added:
- `pub mod error;` in the modules section (alphabetically placed after `engine` and before `event_bus`)
- `pub use error::{HttpStatus, KernelError, KernelResult};` in the public exports section

## Build Verification

cargo build -p oxios-kernel
```

**Result**: ✅ Build succeeded with warnings (pre-existing warnings in other modules, not related to error module).
