# Milestone 0.9 compatibility report

Status: complete
Inventory: [`redland-1.0.17-oxiland-0.9.json`](https://github.com/eddiethedean/oxiland/blob/main/compatibility/inventory/redland-1.0.17-oxiland-0.9.json)
Performance: [`0.9-performance.md`](0.9-performance.md)
Downstream: [`compatibility/downstream/README.md`](https://github.com/eddiethedean/oxiland/blob/main/compatibility/downstream/README.md)

## Outcome

Oxiland 0.9 expands the C ABI beyond the 0.8 preview, ships optional durable
adapters (`redb`, `rocksdb`, `sqlite`, `lmdb`) behind Cargo features, and
publishes a downstream consumer matrix with installed-artifact packaging smokes.

## Evidence summary

| Gate | Result |
|---|---|
| C inventory unexplained gaps | None (`mapped` count 0) |
| Expanded `oxiland-capi` allowlist | 98 exported symbols; FFI + ASan |
| Downstream matrix | First-party + differential + Redland-shaped example; Ruby soft (D-09-01) |
| Optional adapters | Conformance green with feature matrices |
| Evaluation packages | sled defer; LevelDB reject; MDBX/SurrealKV defer |
| `Model::copy_to` | Implemented + conformance coverage |
| Performance budgets | Published; no open overruns |

## Residual risks / deviations

- D-09-01 / D-09-02 documented in the downstream README.
- Public `DurableBackend` trait remains pre-0.10.
- Oxiland does not claim Redland binary `.so` interchange.

## Non-goals confirmed
