Struct Thread

Source
pub struct Thread(/* private fields */);
Available on crate feature thread only.
Expand description

An opaque pointer to a thread.

This type does not detach or free resources on drop. It just leaks the thread. To detach or join, call detach or join explicitly.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Thread

Source

pub fn from_raw(raw: *mut c_void) -> Self

Convert to Self from a raw pointer that was returned from Thread::to_raw.

Source

pub unsafe fn from_raw_unchecked(raw: *mut c_void) -> Self

Convert to Self from a raw non-null pointer.

§Safety

raw must be a valid non-null thread pointer.

Source

pub fn from_raw_non_null(raw: NonNull<c_void>) -> Self

Convert to Self from a raw non-null pointer that was returned from Thread::to_raw_non_null.

Source

pub fn to_raw(self) -> *mut c_void

Convert to a raw pointer from a Self.

This value is guaranteed to uniquely identify a thread, while it is running. After a thread has exited, this value may be reused by new threads.

Source

pub fn to_raw_non_null(self) -> NonNull<c_void>

Convert to a raw non-null pointer from a Self.

This value is guaranteed to uniquely identify a thread, while it is running. After a thread has exited, this value may be reused by new threads.

impl PartialEq for Thread

Source§

fn eq(&self, other: &Thread) -> bool

Tests for self and other values to be equal, and is used by ==.
1.0.0 · Source§

fn ne(&self, other: &Rhs) -> bool

Tests for !=. The default implementation is almost always sufficient, and should not be overridden without very good reason.
