# OpenSymphony Rich Client, Hosted Mode, and Planning Implementation Plan

## 1. Implementation strategy

The implementation should proceed from contracts to clients to hosted execution. The first priority is to create a stable OpenSymphony Gateway that rich clients can use without depending on private orchestrator internals. The second priority is to build a shared frontend that works in Tauri desktop and browser contexts. The third priority is to deepen the Linear task graph and planning workflow. Hosted mode and future harness/auth integrations should then build on those contracts.

The main sequencing rule is:

1. Make server state and streams reliable.
2. Build clients against versioned APIs.
3. Add mutations only where server-side intent handling is clear.
4. Add hosted auth and isolation after local/external host-client contracts are stable.
5. Add future Codex/OAuth integrations after the harness and auth seams are proven.

Convert the existing control plane into a versioned gateway that supports rich clients through snapshots, details, streams, capabilities, and action receipts.

4. Add `/api/v1/runs/{id}` and `/api/v1/runs/{id}/events`.

6. Build shared frontend skeleton.
7. Build Tauri desktop wrapper.
8. Render dashboard, task graph, and run detail from live gateway data.
9. Add terminal/log pane prototype.
10. Add stream reconnect and stale-data handling.

This cut produces a useful rich-client alpha while validating the gateway and stream contracts that every later feature depends on.
