Expand description

Top-level reason space for routing decisions.

Unifies the legacy DorsReasonCode (selection/switch reasons) and DorsEscalationReasonCode (escalation reasons) into a single flat enum that a sink can match on without juggling multiple legacy code spaces. #[non_exhaustive] so new reasons can be added.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

Initial selection at protocol start.

PrimarySelected

Primary transport selected on merit.

PrimarySuccess

Primary transport’s last send succeeded.

FallbackSuccess

Fallback transport’s last send succeeded.

EscalationApplied

Escalation fallback was applied end-to-end.

CurrentUnavailable

Current transport became unavailable.

Retry-failure threshold tripped escalation.

Sustained poor signal tripped escalation.
