# Contributor Covenant Code of Conduct
## Our Pledge
We pledge to make participation in `timeout` a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
## Our Standards
Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment include:
- Demonstrating empathy and kindness.
- Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences.
- Accepting constructive criticism gracefully.
- Focusing on what is best for the community.
Examples of unacceptable behavior include:
- Trolling, insulting, or derogatory comments.
- Public or private harassment.
- Publishing others’ private information without permission.
- Other conduct that could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.
## Enforcement Responsibilities
Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying standards and will take appropriate corrective action in response to any behavior that they deem inappropriate.
## Scope
This Code applies within project spaces and when an individual is officially representing the project in public spaces.
## Enforcement
Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported to the maintainers at `conduct@nuewlabs.com`. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.
