## Setup Instructions

### Prerequisites

1. **IBKR Account**
   - Live or paper trading account
   - Enable API trading in account settings

2. **TWS or IB Gateway**
   - Download from IBKR website
   - Configure API settings:
     - Enable ActiveX and Socket Clients
     - Set Socket port: 7497 (paper) or 7496 (live)
     - Allow connections from 127.0.0.1
     - Disable "Read-Only API"

### Installation

Add to your `Cargo.toml`:

```toml
[dependencies]
nt-execution = { path = "../execution" }
tokio = { version = "1", features = ["full"] }
rust_decimal = "1.32"
```

## Usage Examples

### Basic Connection

```rust
use nt_execution::ibkr_broker::*;
#[tokio::main]
async fn main() -> Result<(), Box<dyn std::error::Error>> {
    let config = IBKRConfig {
        host: "127.0.0.1".to_string(),
        port: 7497, // Paper trading
        paper_trading: true,
        streaming: true,
        options_enabled: true,
        algo_orders: true,
        ..Default::default()
    };
    let broker = IBKRBroker::new(config);
    broker.connect().await?;
    // Get account info
    let account = broker.get_account().await?;
    println!("Account: {} | Buying Power: {}",
        account.account_id, account.buying_power);
    Ok(())
}
```

### Bracket Orders

```rust
use nt_execution::*;
use rust_decimal::Decimal;
async fn place_bracket_order(broker: &IBKRBroker) -> Result<Vec<OrderResponse>, BrokerError> {
    let bracket = BracketOrder {
        entry: OrderRequest {
            symbol: Symbol::new("AAPL")?,
            quantity: 100,
            side: OrderSide::Buy,
            order_type: OrderType::Limit,
            time_in_force: TimeInForce::Day,
            limit_price: Some(Decimal::from(150)),
            stop_price: None,
            extended_hours: false,
            client_order_id: None,
        },
        stop_loss: OrderRequest {
            symbol: Symbol::new("AAPL")?,
            quantity: 100,
            side: OrderSide::Sell,
            order_type: OrderType::StopLoss,
            time_in_force: TimeInForce::GTC,
            limit_price: None,
            stop_price: Some(Decimal::from(145)), // 5 point stop
            extended_hours: false,
            client_order_id: None,
        },
        take_profit: OrderRequest {
            symbol: Symbol::new("AAPL")?,
            quantity: 100,
            side: OrderSide::Sell,
            order_type: OrderType::Limit,
            time_in_force: TimeInForce::GTC,
            limit_price: Some(Decimal::from(160)), // 10 point target
            stop_price: None,
            extended_hours: false,
            client_order_id: None,
        },
    };
    broker.place_bracket_order(bracket).await
        OrderSide::Sell,
        TrailingStop::Dollar(Decimal::from(10)), // Trail by $10
    ).await
        OrderSide::Buy,
        Some(Decimal::from(5.50)), // Limit price $5.50
## Testing
Run integration tests (requires TWS/Gateway):
```bash
# All tests
cargo test --test ibkr_integration_tests -- --ignored

# Specific test
cargo test --test ibkr_integration_tests test_bracket_order -- --ignored

# With output
cargo test --test ibkr_integration_tests -- --ignored --nocapture
```
## Performance Characteristics
- **Rate Limit**: 50 requests/second (built-in)
- **Latency**: 10-50ms (local TWS)
- **Concurrent Orders**: Up to 10 simultaneous
- **Streaming**: 1000 symbols per connection
- **Cache TTL**: 5 minutes (options chains), 1 minute (Greeks)
## Known Limitations
1. **WebSocket Support**: Not yet implemented (HTTP polling only)
2. **Multi-leg Options**: Basic support only
3. **Real-time Updates**: Requires polling for positions/account
4. **Historical Data**: Limited to recent data (TWS restriction)
## Troubleshooting
### Connection Issues
```
Error: Not authenticated with TWS/Gateway
```
**Solution**:
1. Ensure TWS/IB Gateway is running
2. Check API settings are enabled
3. Verify port number (7497 paper, 7496 live)
4. Allow connections from 127.0.0.1
### Rate Limiting
```
Error: Rate limit exceeded
```
**Solution**: Built-in rate limiter handles this automatically. Wait briefly and retry.
### Option Contract Not Found
```
Error: Option contract not found
```
**Solution**: Ensure option chain is loaded first, and expiry format is YYYYMMDD.
### Pattern Day Trader Warning
```
Warning: Pattern day trader: account equity below $25,000
```
**Solution**: Maintain $25k+ equity or limit day trades to 3 per rolling 5 days.
