# Pure Rust Single-Threaded Performance Profile
**Objective:** Identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities in the pure Rust sequential implementation.

## Profiling Targets
- I/O performance (buffering, read patterns)
- Parsing efficiency (record boundary detection, field parsing)
- Record construction cost
- Memory allocation patterns
- Call graph hotspots
## Methodology
Use Criterion.rs and Flamegraph to profile pure Rust sequential reading.
