# Code of Conduct

## Purpose

Mr Milchick is intended to become infrastructure.
Infrastructure requires trust. Trust requires professional conduct.

This Code of Conduct exists to ensure a respectful, inclusive, and focused collaboration environment for all contributors and maintainers.

---

## Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment include:

- Being respectful and considerate in communication
- Accepting constructive feedback gracefully
- Focusing discussions on technical merit and system impact
- Prioritizing clarity over rhetorical flourish
- Supporting long-term maintainability over short-term wins
- Acting with professionalism in public and private project spaces

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind
- Personal attacks or dismissive language
- Public or private hostility toward contributors
- Deliberate disruption of project governance
- Introducing conflict unrelated to project goals
- Any conduct that creates an unsafe or exclusionary environment

---

## Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to:

- Project repositories
- Issue trackers
- Merge request discussions
- Documentation contributions
- Official communication channels related to the project

It also applies when an individual is representing the project in public contexts.

---

## Governance Model

Project maintainers are responsible for:

- Enforcing this Code of Conduct
- Making moderation decisions
- Preserving a productive collaboration climate
- Acting in the long-term interest of the project

Decisions by maintainers regarding conduct are final within the scope of project governance.

---

## Reporting

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, report it to the maintainers.

Reports should include:

- Description of the incident
- Relevant context or links
- Any immediate safety concerns

All reports will be handled with discretion.

---

## Enforcement

Possible enforcement actions include:

- Request for behavior adjustment
- Moderation of discussion participation
- Temporary or permanent contribution restrictions
- Removal from project collaboration spaces

Enforcement will be proportional to the severity and pattern of behavior.

---

## Guiding Principle

Mr Milchick exists to reduce organizational friction, not create it.

Contribute accordingly.
